Interest-free and Fixed Installments
The Interest-Free Months and Fixed Installments payment system allows merchants to offer their customers the ability to pay in installments with two distinct models.
MSI (Interest-Free Installments)
- Definition: Merchant absorbs the financing cost, customer pays no interest
- Commission: Merchant pays a commission rate based on the number of installments
- Available in: México (MXN currency only)
- Supported installments: 3, 6, 9, 12, and 18 months
- Card brands: Visa, MasterCard, American Express
Fixed Installments
- Definition: Customer pays a fixed interest rate, visible upfront
- Commission: Customer pays the financing cost
- Available in: México (MXN currency only)
- Supported installments: 3, 6, 9, 12, and 18 months
- Card brands: Visa, MasterCard, American Express
- Transparency: Total amount including interest shown before purchase
